limited-stage SCLC refers to the cancer being only on one side.
extensive-stage SCLC refers to when the cancer is spread to more than one location.

Here is a quote from www.oncologychannel.com concerning lung cancer patients survival rate as realtes to their diagnosed Stage.
‘Overall, fewer than 10% of people with primary lung cancer are alive 5 years after diagnosis.’
The 10% survival rate after five years appears to include all lung cancer patients, which I read as treated and non-treated.
Towards the bottom of the page there is a chart for STAGING cancer patients.
The stages listed describe the point at which 50% of patients are still living.
It is different than what I explained, but may show better odds.
